I did the P90x as well as several gym boot camps but got bored of them quicklyI need a work out that was more specific to my needs, and then one day, I ran past a cross fit gym and was interested in their workouts. I joined and realized that there is nothing like Cross fit, and it is always different! I’m on my sixth month of doing Cross fit and every WOD is different in some way.

I’ve never been at a GYM where I start to consider all of the box members and trainers like friends and family. Our coaches are amazing.  They are patient and knowledgeable and we all support each other. There is that constant competition that I enjoy.

( Why do I Crossfit?) It pushes me to run more to do more to expect more of myself. I am preparing my body for the future. I am getting my body fit and healthy in more ways than one by doing Crossfit. And I know my body in the years to come will thank me. Executing and strengthening functional daily movements is what will prevent me from struggling to get up in the mornings.

Isaac is a great example of the athletes that train at CFFTW! Thanks Isaac for being one of the family at CrossFit Fort Worth!

Reed Kellum - What is the greatest challenge you have had since starting CF?

"When I first started crossfit I was concerned that it would be the lifts that were the limiting factor. Once I got to the point that my workouts were done Rx'd,  I quickly realized it was all mental. 'Do one more rep' ,'Do one more round.'  These are the things that challenge me the most. The weights, the reps, the rounds are tuff,  but mentally forcing your body to do them is almost always the hardest part of the wod. The mental strain with my diet is also a fight that I have each day. This fight is always mental! I know what and how to eat,  but what I choose is not always what's best for me, my body and my training.

Remember to come out and cheer on members who are competing at the DFW Mud Run tomorrow morning and afternoon at the Trinity River in Fort Worth. Go to http://theoriginalmudrun.com/mud-run-dfw, for start times, directions,etc.. No doubt about it, we will have some folks out there putting some killer numbers up!
